The Hive

The Hive is a landmark ten-storey mass timber office building in Vancouver, with nearly 170,000 square feet of Class-A workspace wrapped in a honeycomb exoskeleton that gives the building its name.

Kalesnikoff supplied the CLT floor panels and Glulam columns and beams, prefabricated and sequenced so each floor plate could be closed in days rather than weeks.

Exposed timber ceilings run through every floor, turning structure into the finish and keeping the carbon locked in the building for its lifetime.
