How we add value, on top of our supply chain.
Design assist, prefabrication, modular delivery, and install coordination — one integrated scope, one point of accountability.
Customer provides KMT with available documents, and KMT provides guidance on production and manufacturing efficiencies to (ideally) reduce overall project cost.
Using documents provided by the customer, KMT creates a model which is then reviewed for dimensional accuracy of the overall structure and mass timber elements.
Customer delegates the design of specific engineering scopes to KMT. Typically, these are connection details.
After reviewing is complete, KMT provides the customer with a fully detailed model and a fully dimensioned 2D drawing set which includes connection details. Any outstanding Requests for Information (RFIs) are highlighted for consultant comments.
Using the comments provided by the customer and consultants, KMT creates the final record set which will be Issued for Fabrication (IFF).
KMT creates a shop drawing of each mass timber or prefabricated element intended to be used during the manufacturing process.
Preconstruction and Delegated Design are not always part of the KMT project timeline. Customers will often not require these services from KMT.
Prefabricated to architectural tolerance — for ease of installation on site.
